At approximately 9:10 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a collision on the Cross Island Parkway. Reports indicate the wreck occurred on the Cross Island Parkway near Linden Boulevard and the Southern State Parkway. An unknown number of cars collided in the area, resulting in injuries and traffic delays. Authorities rendered aid at the scene and transported injured victims to local hospitals if needed. Traffic was stopped back to Hillside Avenue while emergency responders worked in the area. Few other details are currently available to report.
